Ski Gear Room Bench Bases Get Laid Out
These can be especially problematic because of some typical problems. Any significant irregularities in the floor and walls exacerbate the problems because the bench is not a base cabinet covered by a countertop that would hide these defects.
Ski Gear Room Bench Bases Go Together
In spite of these problems the units eventually go together. The upper closet units at least cover the wall problems in the end.
Ski Gear Room Cabinet Across the Room
A few pieces of well-placed backing can make installation of large cabinetry much easier and display far less fasteners.

Master Bathroom Pocket Door Problem
Pocket Door Gets Installed
This went exceptionally well initially but after a scratching sound accompanied by a grinding sensation was an alert that there was a problem.
A Scratch is Caught Before Getting Really Deep
The problem was immediately addressed and corrected before irreversible and unrepairable damage had occurred.
The Sneaky Culprit
The shiny sliver at bottom middle was the back of an electrical switch box that was set a bit to deep in an overly shallow wall and was projecting just enough to cause the scratch.
Loft Area Wall Coverings and Other Features
Nook box is installed and wall covering has begun.
Opposite wall nook is installed and wall covering is installed as well.
Finished look of nooks and I was glad that the boxes were prebuilt by then.
The joinery was difficult to get tight at times but not impossible.
Ceiling & Wall Coverings Done
The ceilings and window bucks were installed prior to the nook boxes & wall coverings and I had to pry down some pieces later to access a light box I had inadvertently covered over.
Window Wall Finished
Not much material to the window wall but there was a bit of scribing of the pieces at the joint between these and the faux logs shown at bottom between the window and the side wall.
A Tricky Piece for the Closet
This chop station was set up in the master bedroom as is evidenced by the cabinetry in the corner on the right side of the photo.
Finished Bunk Room
There were built-in bunks with drawers beneath and closets with drawers at the bottom on each side of this room at the entrance. There was no door to the room. I think this room, when finished out and decorated, was on of the most attractive for its size that I have ever finished.
